🎆 Your July 4th Week in Westchester: Explosive Events + Good Times
Your full plan for fireworks, food trucks, music, and midsummer joy.

Hi Friends!
How is it July already?!
Did any of you get up to anything from our last edition? There were so many great weekend events! We’d love to hear about it, if so! We kickstarted ours playing games, eating pizza and catching fireflies at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation’s Firefly Festival, followed by non-stop frolics at Outhouse Orchard’s Bubble Bus extravaganza with yummy burgers and cider, a hayride with a view, and a sunset for the books. All magic!
We wanted to make this week easy for you to plan by showcasing various events happening around July 4th. From town festivals to special sporting events, and even beer and cheese tastings (yes, please), there’s a lot going on.
Whether it’s on a beach, on a bridge, in a park under the stars or sitting at home, we hope your July 4th is filled with love and laughter.
Wes & Bec
PS: If you just want to chill out this week, we’ve re-inserted our pool and beach opening hours graphic at the bottom of this edition!
In today’s edition…
Where to catch the best fireworks shows — from beaches to dams and bridges.
Not big on fireworks? We’ve got events with less flare and more flair.
Run, don’t walk… Black Tap and Walter’s are serving up a shake of epic proportions starting today!
Today’s edition was brought to you by QueenBHive and Fallscapers.
Let’s go!

🌭 Eats-chester
We have yet to meet someone who doesn’t enjoy a Walter’s hot dog (puppy, puffy, pretzel, whatever - they’re all good). If dogs aren’t your thing, knocking back a lemonade and some potato puffs hotter than the sun is worth the trip also (don’t forget the chipotle aioli). It’s not even really about the food (which is award-winning), it’s that thing you can’t put your finger on… a feeling. It’s slinging the kids into the car on a Sunday evening because the Monday blues are knocking… Win the game? Walter’s. Lose it? Walter’s. Probably something that happens from being around for 106 years. But I digress…
We headed there last week for one of their Dog Days of Summer gigs; Smoky O was playing, the drinks were bubbling, we sang, played cornhole and all of a sudden it felt like the weekend on a Thursday. We highly recommend, it’s a really good vibe. The next one is July 10th.
However, we’re not here to talk dogs or concerts. We’re here for one thing and one thing only…. the Strawberry Shortcake CrazyShake, available today until July 27 at both Walter’s locations! Top NYC burger joint, Black Tap, also known for its iconic milkshakes has entered the building! The last time this happened (in 2016), 1,200 of these shakes were consumed in three days! Think vanilla frosted rim, crumbled cake, a strawberry shortcake ice cream bar, pink and white twisty pop, and so much more. While Black Tap customers in Manhattan get to enjoy a special K-Town Big Walt complete with kimchi, chili oil, queso blanco, and… I can’t go on.🤤
There’s a shake with our name on it. We’ll let you know if we survive.
