đ¸ Eats-chester
This week weâre bringing you something a little different. While the heart of this lovely little section is always food, this place is showing heart in so many other ways too. Weâd been meaning to check it out for a little bit⌠and found good reason when the guitarist and cofounder of a band we like (The Revivalists) was performing there with some bandmates on a rainy Tuesday evening!
From the outside, Goodhouse looks like an intimate, refined, speakeasy-styles place youâd meet your friends or other half at for a few fancy drinks, but youâd be completely underestimating whatâs happening if you left it at that. Part venue, part restaurant, part bar, part clubhouse, Goodhouse has all sorts of ambitions to become a place where people can network, connect, and unwind, taking them from day to night, business to pleasure. Music already fits so elegantly inside the club, it reminds me of the kind of spot in Ireland where a big name could just show up and play or a session may break out at any moment. It has that spark. It feels⌠exciting.

Does that mean itâs not one for kids? No! Ours were welcomed with open arms as we hit up their bar menu (full dinner is served Wed-Sun) and settled into the wonderful talent of Zack Feinberg. We had juicy, delicious burgers, their special âHappyâ fries and homemade nuggets, and chips and dip. Their burgers are definitely something you should order when you go, and everything else had really thoughtful and tasty flavor combinations and sauces we needed more of. Weâre all for an Asian twist (think Ponzu and Gochujang) and as for their charred onions, chive and crème fraiche dip⌠weâre going to need more chips, please! Delicious! They topped it off by treating us to some gooey, warm and salty chocolate cookies. We were so glad they did as in trying to behave we would have missed out big time!
They just launched their fall menu with Executive Chef Gabriele Sorgi which weâll have to return to try as it boasts the likes of figs and whipped ricotta, banh mi pork belly sliders, brown butter gnocchi, sea scallops a la plancha, and an Iberico pork chop that looks like it could turn a few heads away from some really great looking steaks.
So, if youâre feeling social or maybe just like quietly taking in some great music, or rooftop vibes and tasty plates, we think the Goodhouse is pretty great. Watch what these folks are up to in Mount Kisco because we can already tell itâs special.
