šŸŽƒ Sleepy Hollow's Twilight Village Opens... Beware the Headless Horseman!

Rocktober? Everclear headlines Sleepy Hollow Music Festival & Steinyfest returns

In partnership with

Happy Friday, Westchester!

Great news… the weather forecast is looking much better for this weekend, especially Saturday, so if you’ve got some wood close by, give it a knock and let’s try to keep it that way so we can all get out and enjoy a Westchester fall weekend!

The Fall Foliage Report is back in action from ILoveNY.com and we’re starting to get some color change to pair with this weekend’s weather:

Interested in some fall views up north but don’t know what you’d do or what you’d eat once you got there? Port Jervis, just on the border between the Catskills and Hudson Valley regions on the map, is home to Ben’s Fresh, the reigning ā€œBest Burger in NYā€ champion for its Empire State of Prime burger. We grabbed one last week on our drive home from the Poconos and highly recommend it (we got that and the buffalo chicken fries, below). Might make you forget all about the leaves…

Staying closer to home? As you’d expect, October is starting with a bang in the Tarrytown / Sleepy Hollow neck of the woods. Twilight Village begins on Friday (one of our favorites), Sleepy Hollow Music Festival rocks out on Saturday with ā€˜90s rockers Everclear, and Oyster Fest begins at The Sailhouse on Sunday. Plus, major walkthrough attractions like The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze and Mystic Moon continue through the month.

The county is alive and the Horseman is on the hunt… enjoy the weekend!

šŸ” Where the Heart Is

Incredible homes are listed in Westchester every week. Here’s one that caught our eye

The Key Details: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2,068 square feet on 0.28 acres ($580 / square foot)

What We Love About It: A classic center hall Colonial on a tree-lined street in Mamaroneck's "Friendly Village," with the character to match: a wood-burning fireplace, front-to-back windows, and custom moldings throughout. The sunlit family room wrapped in windows and the three-season porch make year-round living easy, while the primary suite gets its own walk-in closet and updated bath. Out back, an 18' x 36' heated in-ground pool anchors the yard for summer. It's all walkable to the top-rated Rye Neck schools, a vibrant downtown with a movie theater and harbor beach, and the train station for a 38-minute peak commute to Grand Central.
