⭐ Three Nights, Three Stars, One Blue Moon at The Cap
The Knicks are back in the Finals, Lyndhurst's roses are in peak bloom, and Hungry on Hudson returns
Hello, Westchester!
The county had front row seats to a special astronomical event early last Sunday evening, with a massive Blue Moon perched just over Long Island where, we’re told, it was stuck in traffic around Exit 40 of the Expressway. A Blue Moon, for those not lunar-inclined, is the second full moon in a month and happens once every 2.5-3 years. It’s said to bring with it extremely strong spiritual energy, specifically when it comes to second chances and fresh starts. So if the New Year’s Resolution didn’t work this year, you can have another crack at it and, this time, have the stars on your side.

When we think about second chances, New York has gotten one with the Knicks returning to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999. Back then, the Knicks lost in five games to, you guessed it, the San Antonio Spurs. Back then, we also thought Y2K was going to erase all of our money. Now, it just happens at the gas station.
A few players from this season’s Westchester Knicks are on this Finals roster, Tyler Kolek, Pacome Dadiet, and Ariel Hukporti. Last season, Landry Shamet also played a few games with Westchester. It’s a cool reminder that you can legitimately catch future and current stars up close at the County Center.
Game 1 Wednesday at 8:30p. Let’s go Knicks.

🏡 Where the Heart Is
Incredible homes are listed in Westchester every week. Here’s one that caught our eye
![]() | ![]() |
The Key Details: 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2,527 square feet on .36 of an acre ($631 / square foot)
What We Love About It: You can’t really go wrong with Larchmont… we were nearly residents ourselves when we made an offer on a house a few years back. And with 16 West Drive, you get a great school system and nice proximity to the train, the Hutch, and 95, all while being tucked away in the historic, nearly 100-year-old, Rouken Glen neighborhood that is just 5 minutes from both Larchmont Village and from Walter’s Hot Dogs (priorities). Your front door is also steps away from the 2.5 mile long Leatherstocking Trail if you need to walk off any of those Walter’s dogs.
