🎡 The Loving Westchester Memorial Day Weekend Primer
Great Westchester events, amusement park openings & last-minute getaways
Hello, Westchester!
The county’s frozen tundra days of January and February are starting to feel like a lifetime ago as we approach record-setting heat for May. Midweek temperatures are expected to exceed 90°, dropping back down to a much cooler 55-65 range for the weekend. Friendly reminder to take the heat seriously over these next couple of days and for those who need a bit of extra help, New York State has a Cooling Assistance program helping households buy air conditioning units.
Memorial Day is fast approaching and we know a lot of you will be on the move this holiday weekend. We'd love to know where you're headed, so we're running a quick poll this week. Cast your vote below and we'll share the results in Friday's edition!
What's Your Memorial Day Weekend Plan? |
As for us, we're eyeing up a road trip of our own and the first order of business is getting the car sorted before we go. A quick visit to our friends at Ardsley Car Wash will sort us out. It's worth a stop before you hit the road.
For those staying closer to home, we've got you well covered. Playland Park and Beach officially kicks off the 2026 season this weekend, the White Plains Rock the Block series returns for summer, and Harvest Moon opens its farm for Cider Nights to help ease into the long weekend. There's plenty to do without going anywhere.
Either way, enjoy every minute. Let's get into it.
