Coldplay by candlelight, a Wonka-themed kids party & a cherry blossom festival in Dutchess
Happy Friday!
We started Loving Westchester to bring more of the county right to your inbox and better connect you with where you live. Your response has been overwhelming⦠in under a year, we've grown to 10,000 newsletter readers and 12,000 followers across social media. We're truly grateful for your attention and support.
With that momentum, we're exploring new ways to bring Loving Westchester to life beyond the newsletter and we want to focus on what you actually want! Take a quick second to let us know which of these you'd be most interested in:
Back to regularly scheduled programming⦠we had some beautiful winter days earlier this week, making for an eye-opening return to Westchester for any sun seekers that took to the beach during spring break. The nighttime return to near-freezing temperatures hasnāt been easy on the skin or the utility meter. Which brings us to this weekās sponsor, ConEd! Kidding.
Fortunately, at least in the short term, itās only up from here weather-wise⦠50s and 60s for the weekend, 70s-80s(!) early next week. Much more like it. If kids activities havenāt fully taken over your weekend calendar, we suggest you get out and make the most of it. To that end, thereās fun for the whole family this weekend: kids can create chocolate bars at Shake It Off and decorate cookies at Muscoot, while grownups can experience award-winning humorist David Sedaris and take in a film screening with Amy Irving and Peter Riegert. Looking ahead, Brett Goldstein, a creative force behind two of our faves Ted Lasso and Shrinking, hits the Tarrytown stage on May 3rd with tickets going on sale at 10a today.
In the words of Willy Wonka⦠So much time and so little to do. Strike that. Reverse it. See you out there.
Bec+Wes
