šŸ½ Connor McGinn Celebrates 10 Years of Michelin-Quality Ceramics

Inside the Tarrytown studio where Blue Hill's ceramics are made, Diana Ross plays Stamford, and 5-acres and a pool in Mount Kisco

Hello, Westchester!

These summer weeks are flying by. How are they treating everyone? School teacher assignments and cooler September nights are just around the corner, which may serve as a welcome break from both the kids and the heat for some. We recently spent some time in the Carolinas and it’s a different level of heat and humidity down there. Heat index numbers well over 100 degrees… makes you miss 85 and sunny!

Did anyone get the chance to ride Playland’s new Scorpios ride on opening day? We’re really looking forward to checking it out. If you made the trip and have pictures, send them over and we’ll share them in our next edition! If you’re making your way to Playland today, don’t forget about the Friday night fireworks that start up at 9p. Those are worth the trip down to Rye on their own.

This weekend, we’re focused on the Connor McGinn seconds and overstock sale that he’s running from his Tarrytown studio. We’ve shouted about these sales in the past and you don’t want to miss it. Our own cabinets struggle to hold all the pieces we’ve grabbed from these sales over the years and we really recommend checking it out.

Before we leave you this summer Friday, and for the fun of it, here’s another Photo Friday trivia question…

New York Yankees legend, and one of baseball’s all-time greats, Lou Gehrig was a career .340 hitter across 17 seasons, playing a then-record 2,130 consecutive games before passing away at age 37…

In which Westchester town can you pay your respects to "The Iron Horse" Lou Gehrig?

Good luck and see you all next week!

Incredible homes are listed in Westchester every week. Here’s one that caught our eye

The Key Details: 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2,634 square feet on 5.01 acres ($569 / square foot)

What We Love About It: Did the summer heat have you rethinking priorities in life? Is a pool a must? How about a bit more space? School teacher assignment not what you were looking for and you’re hoping for a last minute change into a strong school district? 100 Crow Hill Road could be the answer to any and all of those problems. Sitting on 5 acres in Mount Kisco with a nicely manicured backyard and pool, the home comes in at over 2,600 square feet with modern dĆ©cor throughout. This one’s worth a look.
