šŸ’— Loving Westchester's Weekday Wrap Up: Downtown Dining & K-Pop Partying

Plus, step right up and greet the Mets this week in White Plains

Hi friends,

This week’s Loving Westchester is being written a little differently.

Wes and I are writing it apart, which is a first. And no, I didn’t stay in Dublin… We’re back home in Westchester. The past few days brought a serious health scare for us, however. It has been frightening and grounding, but it came with an unexpected gift: a chance to pay attention before something even louder demanded it.

When I was able to get to Wes in the hospital, he asked me to bring his laptop.

Even in the middle of it all, he still wanted to show up. For this. For you. For the steady ritual of putting something thoughtful into the world. That’s who he is. A gentle, beautiful, giant of a man who believes deeply in community, and in continuing on, even when things feel uncertain.

We haven’t really been apart since we met, which is its own unlikely story. The odds of us finding each other were never particularly high to begin with. Moments like this sharpen that awareness. They make you hold the ordinary closer. They remind you to fight for the minutes, not just the milestones.

Life doesn’t always allow us to slow down or be fully present. Work, responsibility, and momentum have their say. But sometimes we’re reminded that beneath all of it, what we really have is this moment, and the people we’re sharing it with.

Thank you for being here with us this week.

Bec+Wes
