💗 Loving Westchester's Weekday Highlights: Turkey To Go & A Winter Wonderland

Plus, it's a homecoming for two star performers with Westchester roots

Hello, Westchester!

It’s the time of year when you take stock a little. Maybe things went your way, maybe they veered wildly, or maybe you’re still figuring out where you stand. Whichever it is, you’re not alone.

This year so far has been unlike any we’ve had. We took a real swing at building something with you, and watching it grow into a community has been the best part — meeting you, hearing from you, and getting to know the brilliant people and businesses shaping Westchester.

We’ve got a lot planned for the months ahead, all focused on making this more useful, valuable and fun, while supporting local, hardworking, talented businesses and artists. To do that well, we’ll be asking for your input. When those questions land, jump in. Your voice steers where this goes next.

Finally, one quick announcement: now that the newsletter has grown quite large, we are opening up our doors to brands and businesses who want to promote with us, and we have some sweet early supporter deals! We’re opening space for local businesses and brands who want to reach this audience, and we’ll only share things we genuinely think you’ll care about. If you know someone who may be interested, tell them to get in touch. We have limited spaces!

Now, back to this week in Westchester — and everything there is to enjoy!

🦃 Thanksgiving Take Out

H-O-T-T-O-G-O, you can get your bird to go…

🦃 Full Feasts

Milton Point Provisions | Rye | Order by Nov 19

Milton Point Provisions has a real knack for meat — everything is always beautifully cooked and treated with the kind of care that only comes from people who love what they do. Their Thanksgiving offerings are priced similarly to other local gourmet markets (think midsize prepared-feast). Thoughtful sides, seasonal flavors, and that “made-from-scratch” feeling without doing it yourself.

Susan Lawrence | Chappaqua | Order by Nov 22

A Westchester holiday institution. Turkey, soups, trimmings, breads, desserts — all individually priced. Expect premium holiday pricing here, especially for mains and larger orders, but the quality is consistently exceptional.

DeCicco & Sons | Order by Nov 22

Their Thanksgiving packages start at $219 for up to six people, with options laddering up to a feast for 12 for $539. If you want everything handled in one go — turkey, sides, apps, pies — this is an easy and very good, heat-and-serve route.

Moderne Barn | Armonk | Order by Nov 24

Restaurant-quality Thanksgiving without leaving the house… well, not quite — you’ll still need to pop out to pick it up. Their prix fixe takeout menu sits in the restaurant-price range, ideal if you want something polished and festive without cooking.

Mt. Kisco Farmers Market | Mt. Kisco | Order by Nov 25

A cozy, market-made Thanksgiving from Chef Anton, with holiday pies by Niecy’s Bakeshop. This is a great choice if you want something homemade without the effort. You can build your own menu from their à la carte options: with soups ($16/qt), roast turkey + gravy ($25/person) and classic sides ($18/qt). You name it, they’ve thought of it! Ideal if you want flexibility rather than a fixed package.

Red Horse by David Burke | White Plains | Limited availability

A fully cooked, ready-to-reheat feast from Chef David Burke, featuring carved turkey off the bone, signature sides, and Dixie Lee Bakery pies. Full Feast ($500, feeds 8–10). Half Feast ($250, feeds 4–6).

🥧 Side Action

Lulu’s Kitchenette | Pleasantville | Order by Nov 23

A brilliant option if you want a full Thanksgiving spread minus the turkey. Lulu’s handles the supporting stars: classic sides, salads, seasonal sauces, breads, sweets, and their beloved Smash Pies. Side dish and salad half trays start at $59.49 and full trays at $125.49, making it easy to build an entire table around their dishes.

Ladle of Love | Bronxville & Mt. Kisco | Order by Nov 20

Homemade, wholesome, and comforting. Their holiday mains and sides are individually priced, generally in the mid-range for artisanal prepared foods. Their veggie sides have modern nuances, such as mushrooms with shallots and coconut milk, and truffled cauliflower!

Dig Inn’s “Digsgiving” | Pre-order now

Fresh, vegetable-forward holiday dishes. Their packages scale from 8 to 30 people, and pricing varies by size — typically moderate compared to other full holiday spreads. Modern, seasonal, and reheat-friendly. Always delicious.

🏡 Where the Heart Is

Incredible homes are listed in Westchester every week. Here’s one that caught our eye…

Listed by Julia B Fee Sothebys

72 Magnolia Drive is a charming 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom, 1,858 square foot home in Dobbs Ferry's sought-after Riverview Manor neighborhood. This warm and inviting home features a generous living room with wood-burning fireplace, a renovated eat-in kitchen opening to an oversized patio with outdoor fireplace, an en suite primary bedroom with sliders to the rear garden, and a versatile windowed lower level with additional bedroom and bath.

The home is perfectly positioned just 3 minutes to Dobbs Ferry's Metro-North Station (44 minutes to Grand Central) and under 5 minutes to The Parlor's wood-fired pizzas and cozy, neighborhood hang Uncle Lefty’s in Hastings. Location, location, location.
