šŸ’— Loving Westchester's Valentine's Weekend: Circus, Eagles & Love Notes

Plus, a local favorite takes down Restaurant of the Year honors

Happy Friday, Westchester!

To kick off this edition, we have a different kind of Valentine’s. Instead of just date ideas, we want to celebrate the people behind the scenes… the partners, friends, co-parents, grandparents, business teammates, and everyday heroes who make life in Westchester work.

If there’s someone you’d love to publicly thank this Valentine’s, reply to this e-mail with:

  • Their first name

  • Your relationship (partner, friend, colleague, etc.)

  • A few sentences about what they mean to you

We’ll share the love on your replies in future editions & social posts.

One local spot that’s definitely feeling the love this week is Pizzeria La Rosa in New Rochelle. If you’ve been a Loving Westchester reader for the past few months, you’ve seen us professing our love for La Rosa multiple times over. Well, USA TODAY has jumped on the bandwagon, adding it to its 2026 Restaurants of the Year list of just 39 restaurants in the entire country. We couldn’t be happier for them, though that already tight parking lot out back surely just got a bit tighter! You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu but if you’ve never been and want to start somewhere, our picks are the Bolognese pie (we add pepperoni cups), the Gold Rush wings, the Smash Burger (Thursday only) and you can’t miss the Spicy Calabrian Chicken when they have it on a Wednesday. Mangia.

All right, onto the edition at hand… the Royal Hanneford Circus rolls into town for eight shows at the Westchester County Center (you might see us, say hi!), EagleFest returns to Croton Point Park, tickets go on sale for a trio of interesting shows at The Cap in spring (Black Keys, anyone?) and, of course, you’ll have your pick of family-friendly Valentine’s Day events.

Keep reading below for all the details, Happy Valentine’s Day and enjoy the weekend!
