💗 Loving Westchester's Mid-Week Favorites: Beatlemania, Brothers & Basketball
Plus, it's beginning to look (and feel) a bit like Christmas & great local comedy will have you laughing into the weekend

Hello, Westchester!
Get some layers on! Seriously! We’re only two days removed from perfect high-60s fall weather this past weekend and we should see freezing temperatures and some snow today. It’s wild. It’s also a reminder that maybe the Christmas ads, shelves full of holiday chocolates and tree lightings aren’t too soon, it’s all right around the corner. If you still have pumpkins outside, the squirrels are in for a surprise. Do they get brain freeze?
Were any of you able to get out to restaurants participating in Hudson Valley Restaurant Week that ended this past Sunday? If so, we’d love to hear about where you went and how it was. As for us, we used the Westchester Book Festival as an excuse to wander through Katonah, tour its many cafes picking up treats along the way, speak to authors, and take in creative vibes (and vintage trains!) at The Reading Room. While out that way, we took a recommendation and headed north to what turns out to be a local staple, The Blazer Pub in North Salem - more to come on that soon!
On a final note, a genuine thank you to all the men and women who have served this country. The courage to do so should never be taken for granted… and may we all find some of that courage ourselves with kids at home for a second consecutive Tuesday. Many Veterans Day events took place last weekend, but you can still find ceremonies and observances taking place today in Mamaroneck, Mount Vernon, Rye, Somers and Valhalla.
Until next time,
Bec+Wes
