📻 John Cusack Announces Westchester Date & Easter Fun Takes Over
Pro soccer, secret comedy & cinematic strings round out the holiday weekend
Happy Friday, Westchester!
A really great, larger than normal sized bar of chocolate, or maybe a few of those fancy little ones with the salty sprinkles on top, a hot cup of something, a quiet house, and a good book… Dreaming? Yes. Yes, I am. The books will keep taunting us from the shelf as Easter is definitely one for the kids! Which egg, what will the bunny bring, how to avoid never-ending screentime while seamlessly getting things done, and making sure everyone is fed, entertained and happy. We know it because we live it.
One thing is for sure… if you can get out and about in Westchester (and a few easy drives beyond), there are some really lovely springtime and Easter activities happening. We hope that in all the juggling, you’re able to open this, reach in, and scoop out a plan with a small sigh of relief. Something that makes everyone else happy… and reminds you to switch off and play, too.
This weekend we have an eggstra special edition (sorry), filled with readings, poetry, sport, art, comedy, nature, and plenty of Easter activities for the family (some with good bunnies, some with bad IYKYK). And because you told us you love them, we have some tried and true ‘Worth A Drive’ recommendations there also.
Traditions at this time of year are varied (with a fairly clear common denominator… sugar), so whatever you do, may it be sweet… in all the best ways.
Happy Easter, friends!
Bec+Wes

🏡 Where the Heart Is
Incredible homes are listed in Westchester every week. Here’s one that caught our eye

6 Walbrooke Circle is a 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom, 2,416 square foot Tudor from 1925 on an 8,712 square foot lot in the highly sought-after Edgemont School District. This home has that classic storybook Tudor look with steeply pitched gables and textured stucco with timber detailing. Inside, you'll find a bright entry foyer with hardwood floors and high ceilings. The living room has beautiful architectural details including large windows, custom built-ins, and a wood-burning fireplace. Just beyond is a charming sunroom that's perfect for working from home or just relaxing with a book. The formal dining room flows into the eat-in kitchen, and there's a mudroom and powder room on the main level. Upstairs, the second floor offers a generously sized primary bedroom and four additional bedrooms, plus two full bathrooms.
Walking distance to Scarsdale Metro-North (about 33 minutes to Grand Central). Close to Il Sorrento, Sapori, and One Rare Steakhouse. Seely Place School (rated 10/10) and Edgemont Junior Senior High School (rated 10/10) nearby.
