Apple TV's hit show returns to Westchester, the Firemen's Carnival lights up Mamaroneck & a new comedy club opens in White Plains
Happy Friday, Westchester!
The final school bells ring today to bring the 2025-26 school year to a close and summer is officially open for business. Pools are full, sunscreen is on, and our weekends suddenly have nowhere to be in particular⦠the best feeling of the year.
Speaking of summer staples, Mamaroneck's Firemen's Carnival is back on the waterfront tonight for its 78th year. Ten nights of rides, food, games, a parade, and Fourth of July fireworks. If there's a more reliable Westchester summer ritual, we havenāt found it.
This summer also has us paying closer attention to who's walking around our towns. Apple TV's Your Friends & Neighbors is filming Season 3 across Westchester right now, and the cast list keeps growing. More on that just below⦠and if you spot any famous faces in the wild this weekend, send us a picture!
And of course, it's a World Cup summer, and despite a last-minute loss late last night, the US Men's National Team is through to the knockout round with the strongest team theyāve fielded in a long time. White Plains is throwing a full-day watch party on Mamaroneck Avenue this Saturday with the jumbo screen, soccer activities, and a mobile pet adoption truck from the SPCA. To get you into the World Cup spirit, test your knowledge of our US team with this weekās trivia question:
US attacking midfielder Giovanni Reyna grew up in which Westchester town? |
Did you get it?
Have a great weekend, Westchester. Hope to see you around.
š Around Our County
If you haven't watched Your Friends & Neighbors on Apple TV yet, the short version is that you should. Great show. The slightly longer version is that itās set in the fictional, affluent town of Westmont Village and filmed on location all across Westchester.
Filming for Season 3 is underway and production teams have been spotted camped out around Ryeās Sunshine Coffee Roasters. A quick chat with a production assistant confirmed Amanda Peet and Olivia Munn were on set inside, and fans will know itās the same spot where their characters Mel and Sam had their physical Season 1 showdown that left all of Westmont reeling. Here's hoping they've sorted things out over a latte.
With Joshua Jackson and Michelle Monaghan now confirmed for the new season, new Westmont faces will be turning up around our towns before long. Keep your eyes open, Westchester.
Fan of the show? Besides Ryeās Sunshine Coffee Roasters (below), you might also recognize:
Aurora, Rye
Ruby's Oyster Bar - Rye
The Brazen Fox - White Plains
Sleepy Hollow Country Club
ā¦among many others

We recommend the show but canāt condone robbing your neighbor when you know theyāre at their kidās tennis match! Your Friends & Neighbors Season 3 is expected on Apple TV in April 2027.

Westchesterās new supper club is one to watch
When we hear about people collaborating, celebrating the town they love, or creating something a little different in Westchester, weāre always excited.
Thatās exactly what drew us to Saw Pit Supper Club.
This was a collaborative evening by Belle Hill Dining and B Social Events, bringing together great food, music, and community.
Hosted at B Socialās event space in Port Chester, the evening felt intimate from the moment we walked in. Every detail felt intentional, from the music to the wildflowers surrounding the table. It felt like fine dining tucked into nature, elevated but still warm and inviting.
Chef Marcel Robert of Belle Hill Dining put together a seasonal multi-course menu that felt creative without trying too hard. Standouts for us included the refreshing strawberry and heirloom tomato gazpacho served in little bodega bottles that felt like a nostalgic nod to childhood, and the charred summer vegetables over a beet purĆ©e weāre now half-hoping he bottles.
![]() | ![]() |
There was Portuguese octopus with chorizo mayo on sourdough for those who donāt mind a tentacle or two, a deeply satisfying lasagna cooked over fire featuring a wonderfully creamy and traditional bĆ©chamel sauce, and duck breast with kumquat, stone fruit, and pomegranate molasses that showcased Marcelās knack for combining ingredients in ways you might not expect, but that work incredibly well together.
That same balance carried through to dessert: a goatās milk granita with strawberry, vanilla, and honey. Rich yet refreshing, light yet indulgent. Chefās kiss.
Drinks came from local favorites Run & Hide and Zachys, and dinner was served on ceramics from one of our favorites, Conor McGinn Studios.
More than anything, this felt like a reminder of how exciting Westchesterās food scene can be when talented people come together to create something memorable.
There isnāt another Saw Pit Supper Club date on the calendar just yet, but this is one to keep on your radar and weāll let you know as soon as the next one is announced.
In the meantime, Chef Marcel Robert and Belle Hill Dining should absolutely be on your list. Marcelās main business is private dining, catering, and corporate events, creating elevated culinary experiences that feel both polished and personal.
You can follow Marcel at @muttyeats for food updates and future supper club announcements, or keep an eye on Belle Hill Dining for private dining and catering inquiries.
