šŸ’š An Emerald Mile March & Phishing at The Cap

Plus, kid's sushi making in Scarsdale and a Revolutionary tea party in Dobbs Ferry

Happy Friday, Westchester!

Anyone else throwing open their windows? Even just for a minute… letting the air in, pretending it’s warmer than it is, welcoming a bit of life back into the place.

Spring officially arrives today… whether the weather agrees or not. As one of my favorite Irish poets, Seamus Heaney, once wrote, ā€œIf we winter this one out, we can summer anywhere.ā€

We’ll likely be calling Pink’s soon… if only so we can see it all come into bloom a little more clearly!

Well, you have a great weekend ahead of you… while St. Patrick’s Day may have fallen midweek, it’s spilling into the weekend as it should… loud and full of life, but also in some quieter ways.

Back home, there’s always room for both. The pubs, the music, the parades… but also the smaller moments. A bit of fresh air, a nice walk, brunch with people you love. It’s the little details really, isn’t it?

In Irish (Gaelic Irish), there are countless ways to describe things we might only have one or two words for in English… the moods of the weather, the way the wind moves, the soft drizzle that doesn’t quite count as rain. It says a lot about how we’re taught to notice things. To be in them.

And with that, this weekend is shaping up nicely! From parades and planetariums to wine tastings, comedy nights, live music, and a very good excuse to go hunting for treasure just over the border… there’s plenty to get out for.

SlÔn go fóill (for the weekend that's in it!)

šŸ” Where the Heart Is

Incredible homes are listed in Westchester every week. Here’s one that caught our eye…

Listed by Compass Greater NY, LLC

32 Lynwood Road is a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom, 2,215 square foot home from 1917 on a 6,534 square foot lot in the Greenville neighborhood. This classic residence has hardwood floors and a fireplace. Built over a century ago, the home has the character and charm you'd expect from that era. The layout gives you 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms with room to spread out. There's 3 parking spaces, which is always a plus. The lot is a nice size for the neighborhood and gives you some outdoor space to enjoy. Greenville is one of those quieter Scarsdale neighborhoods with tree-lined streets where you really get that community feel. It's the kind of block where people know each other and kids play outside.

Walking distance to Scarsdale Metro-North (about 33 minutes to Grand Central). Close to Il Sorrento, Sapori, and One Rare Steakhouse. Seely Place School (rated 10/10) and Edgemont Junior Senior High School (rated 10/10) nearby.
