🎁 A Waterfront Mother's Day Market: 40 Makers on the Hudson This Weekend

One hundred cherry blossoms, a Holi festival in Hawthorne & the Late Late Show's Craig Ferguson returns

Hello, Westchester!

It really feels like things are starting to move again! With music, markets and festivals, the social calendar is suddenly looking very full.

We’ve a lovely edition for you this week with new things to tell and show you, a giveaway, and plenty of reasons to get out and about. And if you want even more of a feel for what’s going on, we’ve been sharing highlights on Instagram… so make sure you’re following along there too!

Last Friday we made it to what was billed as the “Best Night Ever”… a family-friendly evening with live music, drinks for the grown-ups, ice cream ‘for the kids’, and a torched Italian meringue-topped hot dog thanks to a collab between Bona Bona and Walter’s. There was even a sprinkle room where it quite literally rained sprinkles! We love a good collab and intend to keep bringing you them! You can get a taste here!

We also recently made it out to LEGOLAND as it opened a few weeks ago… We had the best time. You’ll find that in today’s Worth A Drive alongside something for Mac & Cheese lovers!

Giveaway alert: We’ve partnered up with Shake It Off Westchester for their annual Holi Celebration this Saturday, featuring family fun, music, dancing, color throws, bounce houses, food, and more. We have two pairs of tickets for you - just reply ‘Holi’ to be entered into the draw. Winners will be contacted on Friday by 1pm.

Elsewhere, we’re introducing you to a local team you’re about to realize you need in your life (if you didn’t already know), a brilliant market to sort Mother’s Day (or just treat yourself), fundraisers, fairy houses, cherry blossoms… and quite a lot more.

So, let’s get into it…

In today’s edition:

Plus, a message from our partners, New York Gridlock Ultimate, Westchester’s professional women’s ultimate frisbee team, and QueenBPoker, hosting your epic game night.

Let’s go!

🥏 Did you know there’s a professional women’s ultimate frisbee team playing right here in Westchester?

New York Gridlock Ultimate are back for their third season, bringing fast-paced, high-level sport and a genuinely fun, family-friendly atmosphere to New Rochelle’s Joseph Fosina Field.

This isn’t just a casual local team. They’re competing at a serious level. Last season they battled all the way to the semifinals and came up just short. The kind of finish that makes you wonder if this is their year. They’ve already kicked off the season with some strong competition, and there’s a real sense that this could be a big year for them.

The roster brings together talented players from across the country alongside local athletes, creating something that feels both elite and genuinely connected to the community.

What we love is that it’s not just about the game. The upcoming home fixtures are designed as full event days, with activities like tailgating, games, food trucks and space for kids to run around while still watching a high-level match.

We’ve partnered with New York Gridlock this season to bring you unique experiences and to shine a light on the awesome local sports teams in our area. We think you’ll quickly become a fan. Stay tuned, we’ll be sharing a few ways to get involved, including how to win your way there and a special offer for our readers!
