🌞 A Sunny Westchester Weekend After the Washout

Wild animals at Tarrytown Music Hall, 23 bulldogs loose in Irvington & a Saturday Soirée in Larchmont

Happy Friday, Westchester!

This is more like it…

…and before you get flashbacks to last weekend’s washout, that Saturday rainy symbol is doing a lot of heavy lifting. Like, “a little rain at 1am” heavy lifting. Looks like we’ll be in the clear these next few days.

If your Memorial Day Weekend plans included Playland Park, unfortunately the rain put out the dragon fire and opening hours were either limited or cancelled altogether. You’ll get another shot this weekend with Saturday hours of 12-9p and Sunday 12-8p. Our crew is looking forward to making a day of it very soon. With more rides operational and a genuinely friendlier staff than years past, it’s hard to beat on a sunny day on the Sound. You can check out ride availability here.

Now for a Loving Westchester reader public service announcement…

Between beach sand, stinky sports gear, snack explosions, wrappers, mystery smells, and the things living under family car seats, we know some Westchester cars are going through tough times right now.

We’re teaming up with our friends at Ardsley Car Wash for some amazing contests and giveaways for the Loving Westchester community this summer. We’re talking free washes, gift cards to local favorites, and… ahem… tickets to massive sold out gigs?! The fun starts next week. For now, follow Ardsley Car Wash on Instagram to keep up-to-date on the giveaway news.

Loving Westchester will always be free for readers. Partnerships with local businesses like Ardsley Car Wash help us keep it that way… and when those partnerships come with giveaways for you, everyone wins. We've also just added a support button below the edition contents for anyone who gets value from the newsletter or our Instagram each week. It genuinely means a lot.

Bec+Wes

In today’s edition:

Plus, a message from our partners, WingWoman by QueenBHive, giving you, your business, or brand the visibility and support it needs, and QueenBPoker, hosting your epic game night.

Loving Westchester is written by a real-life husband and wife team (Wes & Bec, hi!), completely free, and in your inbox every Tuesday and Friday. If it adds something to your week, you can support us here…

Now let’s get to it!
