💗 A Musical Weekend from the Hudson to the Sound

September's opening act sees music, markets, movies, magic and more

Well hello there, Westchester!

How are you doing? For some of you, it was a short week. For others, it may have felt as long as ever with school organizing and new routines to implement. We’re still not quite there ourselves!

I hope that we whet your appetite for the weekend with some of those ‘Worth A Drive’ plans we shared with you on Tuesday. You’ll find a reminder of some, with new additions, and plenty more options for you to choose from closer to home too! The summer may be winding down, but the events and activities are certainly not!

Have a wonderful weekend and we’ll be back Tuesday with a fresh batch of plans for you, alongside a special giveaway — your chance to win a table for four to an upcoming, fun and meaningful night in Westchester!

Let us know what you get up to these next few days… we love hearing from you!

🏡 Where the Heart Is…

Incredible homes are listed in Westchester every week. Here’s one that caught our eye…

Listed by Compass Greater NY

3 Holbrook Road in Briarcliff Manor is a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 2,860 square-foot modernized Tudor-style home sitting on 1.36 acres. This home was originally a gate house for the 44-room “Chilmark” mansion built by V. Everit Macy (not the department store Macys, but their wealthier relatives!) with the carriage passthrough enclosed and converted into living space.

Rear view of 3 Holbrook Road as the Macy mansion gate house

Jumping to modern day, 3 Holbrook looks straight out of a fairy tale with its own character coming through in the interior design, maintaining some original details, with specimen, fruit trees and perennial flowers dotting the expansive gardens. This one has just been listed this week and worth a look - even if just for the history!
