Lyndhurst in bloom, Hudson River brews cruise & a giant gnome guards 800,000 tulips

Hello, Westchester!

Thank you to everyone who weighed in on last week's reader poll! Over one-third of you told us you want to see Loving Westchester throwing in-person events, while 25% are interested in both Loving Westchester merch and our "Coffee Culture" concept (artisan mugs from local potters paired with curated coffee selections). We heard you loud and clear, and we're excited to share that we're already working on bringing the community together in person. Expect more news on Loving Westchester events soon. We're looking forward to connecting with you beyond the inbox!

Now, about this week's weather and the calendar ahead... we're finally getting what we've been waiting for. Temperatures are climbing into the 70s and 80s through the rest of the week. There's truly something for everyone happening around the county, from flower installations at historic mansions to nostalgic musical acts, a festival boasting 800,000 tulips and a craft beer cruise up the Hudson. Get out there and enjoy the warmth. We'll see you Friday.

🏡 Where the Heart Is

Incredible homes are listed in Westchester every week. Here’s one that caught our eye

644 Fort Hill Road is a 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom, 3,531 square foot colonial from 1844 on 0.47 acres. Here's a fun piece of history: this home once served as a post for French troops during the Revolutionary War, renovated to blend its historic character with modern living. Inside, you'll find a massive, sun-drenched dining room that's built for entertaining. The newly renovated chef's kitchen features high-end appliances, island seating, a big pantry, and easy outdoor access. There's main-floor laundry and a guest bath tucked away, plus a quiet home office above the kitchen with its own separate staircase. You'll also find a game or library room, and a mudroom large enough to include a fitness nook. Upstairs, the primary bedroom has an en-suite bath with two sinks and a massive walk-in closet, plus two more oversized bedrooms and a full hall bath. Outside, the sprawling yard on nearly half an acre has a lovely patio and feels like a sanctuary. At $1,195,000, this property sits well below Scarsdale's median home price of around $2.4 million, offering good value in a market where homes typically sell in about 18 days.

Close to Scarsdale Metro-North (about 32 minutes to Grand Central). Near Il Sorrento, Sapori, and One Rare Steakhouse. Greenville School and Edgemont Junior Senior High School (both rated 10/10) nearby.
